Spring Portfolios

Lesson 6 - February 20th

Choose the college or university that you either are planning to or would like to attend. Look at the school's website and search for clubs. Select one or more clubs that you would consider participating in. List the following:

- The name of the club or clubs you are interested in
- A description of the club or clubs
- What you think you would likely do as a member of the club or clubs
- Why you would consider joining the club or clubs

Lesson 12 - Dropped

Lesson 18 - March 19th

Select 5 classes that you could take your first semester/quarter that contribute to the lower division school requirements or that would transfer from a Community College. For each class, explain why you are interested in that class and the requirement it meets.

Example:

UCI

Language Other than English: Spanish 1C

I took Spanish in high school, so it makes sense for me to continue with the same language. Speaking better Spanish would help me communicate with Spanish speaking people, especially parents as I am planning to be a teacher.

Lesson 24 - April 2

Reflection: Please respond to the following questions

- How do you feel about your grades and progress going into Spring Break?

- What, if anything, academic do you want to accomplish over the break?

- What is your goal for your grades for the end of the year?

- What successes can you claim from the last 8 weeks?

- Where is there room for growth in your academic progress?

- Feel free to add anything else you would like to reflect on!

Lesson 30 - April 23

Signing Day College Video: Record yourself in a mp4 format stating your first name, how long you have been in AVID, and where you are going to college next year. If the file is too big to upload, you can webmail me.
